TESAMORELIN
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) made up of the full 44-amino-acid sequence with an N-terminal trans-3-hexenoyl group. It is supplied as a lyophilised powder for laboratory research applications only.

Research overview
Tesamorelin binds the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotroph cells and stimulates pulsatile growth hormone release, which in turn raises IGF-1. The hexenoyl group makes it more resistant to enzymatic breakdown than native GHRH. Research has concentrated on visceral fat, liver fat and regulation of the growth hormone axis.

Laboratory research use only
This product is supplied strictly for laboratory research use. It is not a medicine, food, cosmetic, or dietary supplement, and is not for human or animal consumption. Any use outside a documented laboratory research protocol is prohibited.
Handling
For laboratory use, reconstitute with a sterile diluent appropriate to the research protocol, introducing the diluent slowly against the vial wall to minimise peptide degradation. Do not shake.

Evidence status
Tesamorelin has been tested in randomised controlled trials in people living with HIV who have excess abdominal fat. It is approved by the US FDA for that specific use but is not authorised as a medicine in the UK. The material supplied here is for laboratory research only.
